Traditional fully layered porcelain veneers remain a golden standard for anterior esthetics and longevity when strict clinical protocols (dentofacial digital diagnostic, waxup/mockup-driven design) and a very capable dental laboratory are combined.
Cost-effectiveness and minimal invasiveness of composite resins, however, have gained popularity for CAD/CAM use in anterior teeth. This module provides a comprehensive approach to porcelain veneers while including an affordable no-prep option (bilaminar CAD/CAM composite resin veneers) to bridge the gap between direct and indirect techniques.
In this landmark course, dentists and dental technicians will first learn about the extended indications for bonded porcelain restorations in the anterior dentition (Types I to V). Hands-on will start with the fabrication of silicon indexes and fabrication of a full anterior maxillary mock-up using an esthetic PMMA resin, including realistic coloring and glazing.
After thoroughly explaining the tooth preparation principles, immediate dentin sealing and impression techniques, the existing mock-up made by the participants will be used for the hands-on preparation of six anterior veneers. The second part of the course will focus on material selection and laboratory procedures including the customization and step-by-step delivery of porcelain and composite resin CAD/CAM veneers (hands-on). Numerous examples and long-term follow-ups of clinical cases up to 32 years will be presented to support the didactic and hands-on material.
Who should attend? New and experienced dentists and extended function dental assistants.
Live Patient Demonstration
As part of the Ultimate Veneer Course, we are excited to include a live patient demonstration that will take place throughout the program. This unique experience has been designed to bridge the gap between theory and clinical execution, allowing participants to witness every critical step involved in delivering exceptional veneer restorations.
The live patient component will consist of two phases: 1) Preparation and 2) Try-In & Bonding. The case will involve the restoration of two maxillary central incisors with porcelain veneers.
During the first session, which will take place at the end of Day One, participants will be guided through a predictable, mock-up-driven preparation protocol on a live patient. This session will focus on the principles and techniques required to achieve ideal veneer preparations while preserving enamel.
Attendees will learn how to execute precise preparations, capture a predictable final impression, and fabricate highly esthetic provisional restorations.
As the course continues with a combination of intensive lectures and hands-on exercises, the definitive veneers for the live patient case will be fabricated by Beverly Hills Dental Laboratory.
The second session following, will focus on the delivery of the restorations and will include a complete try-in and bonding demonstration following the biomimetic principles taught throughout the course. Participants will observe every step of the process, including isolation, restoration evaluation, adhesive protocols, delivery using heated composite resin, finishing, and final completion of the case.
By following a single case from preparation through final delivery, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the clinical workflow and decision-making process required to achieve predictable, highly esthetic veneer outcomes. The addition of this live patient component significantly enhances the educational experience, providing participants with the opportunity to observe real-world clinical execution and reinforcing the concepts learned throughout the course.
