Traditional layered porcelain restorations require strict clinical protocols and a very capable dental laboratory. Cost-effectiveness and minimal invasiveness of milled restorations, however, have gained popularity for CAD/CAM use in posterior teeth and are in the process of being as popular in the anterior dentition.
This hands-on experience will guide the practitioner and dental technicians in the process of selecting the right CAD/CAM material (color, opacity), designing and customizing porcelain and composite resin veneers. The microlayering technique will be used including a partial incisoproximal histo-anatomic cutback, effects/coloring and surfacing with translucent enamellike material.
The hands-on will include finishing of form, surface texture and polishing and will conclude with the step-by-step delivery of the veneers. The course will be complemented by a LIVE patient demonstration of an onlay preparation, scanning, design, customization and adhesive delivery.
