It begins with capturing three high-resolution patient portraits, followed by defining dentofacial relationships and landmarks using a presentation software, and concludes with image refinement in a photo-editing program. Multiple esthetic proposals can be generated and presented to the patient. Once approved, this photorealistic 2D blueprint serves as a unified reference for the subsequent 3D processes (wax-up and mock-up).
